UPDATE: Missing Bonaire Man’s Death Confirmed Suicide

kENNETH NEUHARTWARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Bonaire man who went missing Tuesday has been found dead in Houston County, apparently of a suicide.

82-year-old Kenneth Neuhart’s body was discovered in a heavily wooded area off of Old Perry Road, according to a news release by the Houston County Sheriff’s Department. He had a single, self-inflicted gunshot wound to the head.

Members of the Georgia Search and Rescue team found Neuhart at around 10:30 Wednesday morning. The search included the Houston County Sheriff and Fire Departments, the Georgia State Patrol Aviation Unit, and the Georgia Department of Natural Resources.

Houston County Medical Examiner Dr. James Q. Whitaker examined Neuhart’s body Wednesday afternoon and ruled the death suicide.

Neuhart had been missing since Tuesday morning, and was last seen standing on the corner of Old Perry Road and Walnut Ridge Drive. His residence was reported to have been on Walnut Ridge.
