UPDATE: Man shot after intruding ex-father in law’s home
Lynette Jackson and her husband, John Jackson, told investigators they went to check on Hubert Brady who lives at the mobile home in Westwood Mobile Home Park on Village Road.
They found Brady lying on the floor and while they were trying to help him, John Ferguson came inside. Mrs. Jackson said Ferguson came toward her aggressively. Mr. Jackson told Ferguson to leave, but he didn’t. He kept coming after Mrs. Jackson. Mr. Jackson grabbed a gun and shot Ferguson. Ferguson ran out the back door.
Ferguson’s sister, Deborah Ferguson, told Bibb deputies they fought before he was shot. She said her brother came into her home on Westwood Circle and was drunk. She asked him to leave and he got angry and started choking her. She also told investigators Brady is the ex-father in law of Ferguson.
Ferguson was found in the mobile home park and taken to the hospital. He is stable. Deputies add once he is released, he will be transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center and charged with battery-family violence, cruelty to children-family violence second degree, and criminal trespass-family violence.
