UPDATE: Man accused of kidnapping ex-girlfriend facing charges
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office says the woman possibly kidnapped by her ex-boyfriend was found safe Wednesday night.
The Bibb Sheriff’s Office tells 41NBC 26-year-old David Warnock is charged with kidnapping.
He was arrested around 6:30 p.m. at a restaurant parking lot in Locust Grove.
His ex-girlfriend, 24-year-old Alyssa Armstrong, was with him.
Investigators say she was safe and not hurt.
She is back in Macon with her family.
According to a news release, Armstrong and her friend were walking out of a building on the Macon campus of Central Georgia Technical College around 11:30 a.m. when Warnock approached the girls as they were sitting inside a parked car.
Witnesses say Warnock told Armstrong he wanted to talk to her.
She got out of the car and walked with Warnock over to his van.
That is when Armstrong was led inside the vehicle and Warnock sped off.
