UPDATE: Macon woman’s body identified

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Investigators identified a Macon woman’s body that was found near the Second Street bridge. 

Bibb County Coroner Leon Jones says 25-year-old Arielle Carroll’s body was near railroad tracks by the bridge on Sunday. 

Jones says he still isn’t sure how he died.

A woman was found near the railroad tracks under the Second Street bridge in Macon Sunday morning.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said the woman was taken to the hospital and pronounced dead. Deputies haven’t confirmed her identity yet. An autopsy is scheduled for this week.
