UPDATE: Houston County Investigators Hunt For Clues In Teen Suicide-Shooting
Houston County investigators are releasing more information on what they’ve learned about a shooting-suicide investigation.
They say an 11 year old girl was walking with her friend on Sheffield Way in Houston County when she was shot in the back. Police responded to the shooting after neighbors called 911.
While investigating the incident, authorities found a 13 year old boy who died due to a self inflicted wound, shot a .22 magnum rifle through the window, and struck the girl.
Police recovered firearms, a computer, and cell phone at the scene.
The girl is listed as stable condition after she was taken to Medical Center of Central Georgia.
This incident is still under investigation to see if there was a motive as to why the 11 year old girl was shot.
