UPDATE: GSP says vehicle, suspect connected to Houston County hit-and-run found

UPDATE (12/13/24): Georgia State Patrol (GSP) says the vehicle and suspect involved in a hit-and-run in Houston County last week have been located.

“We thank the public for your assistance in helping us bring this search to a close,” an update on the Georgia Department of Public Safety Facebook page said.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the suspect is 31-year-old Jerson Anibal Andrede-Romero.

According to Houston County Jail Records, he faces the following charges: driving without a license, homicide by vehicle, following too closely, hit-and-run and tampering with evidence.

CENTERVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Georgia State Patrol (GSP) is asking for the public’s help in locating a vehicle involved in a fatal hit-and-run crash that occurred on December 6.

The fatal crash took place at approximately 7:42 p.m. on Elberta Road near Carl Vinson Parkway in Centerville.

According to GSP, the suspect driving fatally struck a bicyclist. The vehicle is believed to be a charcoal grey Acura TL, which may have front-end damage and is missing its front bumper.
