UPDATE: Five of Eight Suspects Now in Custody in Connection with Macon Teen’s Death
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- According to a release from the Macon Police Department, five of eight wanted murder suspects are behind bars. They’re all accused in connection with the death of Macon teenager Jammoni Bland. Bland and 3 others were shot last Friday at the Zodiac Lounge in downtown Macon- Bland did not survive.
Andre Bonner and Miranda Pettiway are charged with felony murder, criminal attempt to committ murder, and participation in criminal street gang activity.
Arthur Freeman, Kiyo Johnson, and Jarrett Taylor- all arrested Thursday evening- are charged with criminal attempt to committ murder, and participation in criminal gang activity.
Criminal Investigations Division Major Charles Stone released a statement saying,
This makes five of the eight suspects jailed at the Bibb LEC, with three remaining suspects at large. We hope the public will continue to supply information on these individuals, and/or family and friends will encourage them to turn themselves in. We are committed to getting every suspect in this case off the streets.
Macon Police are still seeking three additional suspects, also facing charges of attempted murder and gang participation. Those are 27-year-olds Johnifer Barnwell and John Hollingshed, and 29-year-old Jimmy Scott III.
