UPDATE: Butler Police Chief’s Missing Daughter Found Safe in Macon

0301111852BUTLER, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — The daughter of the Butler Police Chief who disappeared Friday afternoon was found safe in Macon Monday night.

Butler Chief Jimmy Towns says 16-year-old Jimesha Towns texted her mother at 12:10pm saying she was leaving home. The teen left her cell phone at home, and her parents believed she may have been forced to leave by a 19-year-old boy who lives in Fort Valley.

Around 10pm Monday, Mirhonda Towns told 41NBC her daughter was found safe in Macon. Chief Towns went to pick her up. 

Towns did not say who she was with or where she was found.
