UPDATE: 14 Arrested in Jones County Drug Bust

Jones drug bustGRAY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The Jones County Sheriff’s Office announced today the arrest of 14 people connected with a significant drug operation.

Officials also confiscated more than $100,000 cash and silver bars as part of their investigation.

Update; Fourteen people have been arrested on drug charges according to the Jones County Sheriff’s Office.  Authorities say they seized guns, silver bars, a hundred eighty thousand dollars in cash, and more than a hundred fifty thousand dollars worth of Meth.  Investigators believe Chad Nicholson along with 13 other suspects were selling Meth in several counties in Middle Georgia.  Authorities hope this drug bust will slow down Meth trafficking in Middle Georgia.

“All of us see a lot of people…a lot of sad cases were you see people so addictive to this that nothing else matters…family or anything,” said Jones County Sheriff Butch Reece.

Nicholson along with the 13 other suspects are charged with racketeering.  All 14 suspects could get up to 20 years in prison. Jones County, The FBI, Crawford, and Bibb County all played a part in the arrest of Nicholson.
