Unity Park in Warner Robins Celebrates Armed Forces

WARNER, Robins (41NBC/WMGT)- Warner Robins is the city that believes everyday is Armed Forces Appreciation Day, and now there’s a new park to celebrate it.

Keep Warner Robins Beautiful, the city of Warner Robins and the Houston County Board of Commissioners broke ground on Unity Park Friday. The pentagon shaped park at the corner of Corder Road and Leverett Road is lined with flags, lights and flowers. Keep Warner Robins Beautiful Executive Director Debra Jones said the park represents the collaborative effort of the armed forces and the organizations that helped make it possible.
