United Way Of Central Georgia Kicks Off With Goal Of $4,150,000

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — United Way of Central Georgia kicked off it’s 2013 campaign Thursday morning at the Edgar H. Wilson Convention Center with a breakfast event.

The event marked the start of the four month long fundraiser to raise money for various programs, supporting 32 local health and human service agencies. United Way helps more than 100,000 people each year.

The organization improves lives and strengthens the middle Georgia community by focusing it’s efforts on education, financial stability, health and meeting people’s basic needs.

The campaign theme this year is “Let’s Change the Story.” It will run until December 2, 2013.
