U Create Macon offering free bikes to youth
Charise Stephens, Founder of U Create Macon, says they have given out nearly 1,500 bikes to youth throughout the community.
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – U Create Macon is celebrating National Bike Month by opening a new location and hosting a pop-up bike party.
The new U Create Macon location will be located at 1065 Anthony Road. The pop-up bike party will be on May 31 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.
Charise Stephens, Founder of U Create Macon, says they have given out nearly 1,500 bikes to youth throughout the community.
Stephens says the new facility will serve as a hub for kids to access bikes.
Attendees can donate new or lightly-used bikes and those will be re-distributed to kids. There will also be bike jerseys and tires available for those in need.
