Two women shot outside of apartment complex
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT)- Two women were shot Thursday morning at the Summit Apartments on Edna Place. It happened just before 9:30 AM .
According the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a black male walked up to the women’s parked car at the entrance of the complex. Deputies say the man shot, 33 year year-old, Tamiko Waller in the arm and, 19 year-old, Chris’Shayla Miller who was grazed by one of the bullets. Waller’s one year-old was also in the car.
Corporal Linda Howard says the women tried to flee.
“The female accelerated trying to leave out of the apartment complex to get away from the shooter and she ran into the gate,” Corporal Howard said.
Both women were transported to Medical Center Navicent Health with non-life threatening injuries.
