Two West Laurens High School Seniors to Play on Division 1 Teams
DEXTER, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – West Laurens High School has scored big with two of its graduating seniors committing to play football for major universities.
Travosier Mitchell is a strong safety. He will be playing football next year at Georgia Southern University. He’s only been playing for three years.
“I just worked hard in my position, what needs to be done on the team, just try to be a team player,” Mitchell said.
His high school teammate, inside linebacker Johnny O’Neal, will be joining the Dawgs at the University of Georgia. UGA has been his dream school since he started playing rec football.
“UGA was always my dream school, like coming up through elementary and through middle school and high school, so my dream is finally coming true,” O’Neal said.
Both schools are Division 1 universities.
