Two traffic accidents cause injuries

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two men were injured after two separate traffic accidents in Macon Sunday.

The first, 34-year-old Marcus Threatt, was driving down an access road near Joe Tamplin Industrial Blvd around 4:30 p.m. when he lost control of his motorcycle and fell off, striking the ground. He was taken to Coliseum Health Centers in a private vehicle, but was later taken to Navicent Health by ambulance. He is currently in critical condition.

The second accident occurred around 5 p.m. when 31-year-old James Trivette Jr. was traveling north on Bass Rd. Trivette lost control of the box truck he was driving, and crashed into a power pole. A portion of Bass Rd. between Westchester Dr. and Providence Dr. was closed for several hours while crews worked to fix the power lines. Trivette and his passenger are both in stable condition.

Both accidents are currently being investigated.  Anyone with information is urged to call the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office at 478-751-7500.
