Two people shot on Bloomfield Drive in Macon, deputies investigating

In a news release, the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center said they received a call at 10:08 a.m. about a person shot in the 3000 block of Bloomfield Drive.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two people were shot Tuesday morning, according to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office.

In a news release, the Macon-Bibb E-911 Center said they received a call at 10:08 a.m. about a person shot in the 3000 block of Bloomfield Drive.

Deputies responded and found a 19-year-old woman and a 23-year-old man suffering from gunshot wounds. Paramedics transported both victims to a medical facility where they are listed in critical but stable condition.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the incident as an aggravated assault. The circumstances surrounding the shooting remain under investigation.
