Two people shot at Macon hotel

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two people were shot Thursday night at the Palm Tree Extended Stay Hotel located at 2690 Riverside drive.

Bibb deputies say 17 year old Jakari Phelps and 22 year old Willie Phelps were in front of the hotel when a suspect came up to them and said something. The pair ran inside of the hotel and the gunman chased them.

After one of the victims got into a fight, the gunman shot both victims in the leg. Jakari was also hit in the head with the gun as the suspect swung it at him. They were taken to the Medical Center, Navicent Health for treatment.

The suspect is described as around 5’9” to 5’10” in height, and was wearing a dark jumpsuit, glasses and a black hat.
