Two people shot in Macon high school parking lot

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two people were shot in the parking lot of Westside High School in Macon this weekend.

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office said there was a party at a home on George Oxford Drive Friday night. A fight started and the party ended. The two victims were not apart of the fight, according to a news release from the sheriff’s office.

People heard gunshots as they were walking to their cars in the school’s parking lot.

The male victim was in his car when he was hit on his left ear.

The female victim was walking to the parking lot in the grass. When she heard the gunshots, she dropped to the ground. She was hit in the right foot.

Both were taken to the hospital and treated for their injuries.
