Two men shot at Macon gas station

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) –

The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an aggravated assault incident that occurred at the “Super Gas”, located on Montpelier Avenue just before 3 a.m. Friday.

Witnesses stated that 37-year-old Airris Wooten was standing outside of the store and 37-year-old Donie Mathis was leaving the store when an unknown suspect began to shoot towards the men, from across the street.

Wooten was shot in the right foot and Mathis was shot in the left hip. Both men were transported to the Navicent Center. According to the hospital staff, both men are listed to be in stable condition.
