Two Men Arrested in Macon Store Burglary

Two men are arrested for breaking into the Rose’s Department Store
on Shurling Drive.

According to a news release, the incident happened early Sunday morning around 1:30.

An officer on patrol heard the store’s alarm go off and spotted the suspect
running from the area.

Macon police arrested 44-year-old John Thomas and charged him
with burglary. A tip from citizens led to the arrest of 30-year-old Dekerrio Jackson who was walking near Popeye’s in the same plaza.

He is being charged with a Superior Court Probation Violation and Criminal Trespass.
