Two Macon men indicted on child sex charges
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Bibb County grand jury indicted two Macon men on child sex charges Tuesday.
Kenneth Cornell Mathis Sr., 49, is accused of molesting three girls, all under the age of 11, and raping one of them. He is charged with rape and child molestation from alleged incidents in 2009 and two counts of child molestation from alleged incidents in 2014 and 2015, according to the Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
Steven Charles Vanbibber, 38, of Macon, was also indicted Tuesday on 36 counts of sexual exploitation of children. He was arrested on allegations he had child pornography in April 2016, according to the Macon Judicial Circuit District Attorney’s Office.
The two men are presumed innocent until they are found guilty in court.
