Man arrested in connection with shooting in downtown Macon
The suspect was identified as 55-year-old Darrell Bernard Washington of Macon. He was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Bibb County Sheriff’s Office deputies, with assistance from Georgia State Patrol, arrested a man wanted in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred at JBA, located at 425 Cherry Street, on Saturday night.
Deputies say that around 10:30 p.m., shots were fired after a heated verbal and physical altercation amongst patrons outside of JBA.
The establishment was struck by gunfire, causing damage to a window. No witnesses nor patrons inside or outside of JBA were harmed. The suspect fled the area but was apprehended shortly afterwards. The firearm was recovered.
The suspect was identified as 55-year-old Darrell Bernard Washington of Macon. He was transported to the Bibb County Law Enforcement Center.
He’s charged with aggravated assault, reckless conduct, first degree criminal damage to property, first degree cruelty to children and battery. He currently does not have a bond.
