Two killed in Twiggs County car crash

TWIGGS COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two people are dead after the car they were in hit a tree on the side of I-16 Sunday. 

The Georgia State Patrol says 38-year-old Shannon Gunn was driving westbound when her car, a Lexus, left the roadway and hit a tree around 7 p.m.

Two other people were in the car at the time, 34-year-old Brandy Pratt and 39-year-old Jamie Smith. 

Gunn and Smith were ejected from the vehicle. Pratt and Smith were killed. 

The GSP Specialized Collision Reconstruction Team is investigating the cause of the accident.
