Two arrested on drug charges after burglary investigation in Washington County

SANDERSVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two people were arrested on drug charges Thursday, according to the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.

The sheriff’s office said Washington County deputies were notified of a burglary that occurred within the city of Sandersville on April 16.

Deputies executed a search warrant at a residence on Elliot Lane outside of Davisboro and found a quantity of illegal drugs, resulting in additional charges.

This is an ongoing investigation, and additional charges are possible.

36-year-old Jeffery Beard of Davisboro and 42-year-old Jamye Fligger of Augusta were arrested and charged.

Beard is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, possession of drug-related objects and burglary.

Fligger is charged with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, possession of marijuana and possession of drug-related objects.
