Two Armed Robberies in Macon Over the Weekend

MACON, Ga – The Bibb County Sheriff’s Office needs the public’s help with two armed robbery investigations.

The first one happened just after 1:30 Saturday morning at Murphy Gas Station on Gray Highway in Macon. According the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, a masked man, waving a silver handgun, entered the store and demanded money. He left with an undisclosed amount of cash.

Then, a second suspect approached a customer’s car outside at the gas pumps. The customer, with its family in the car, saw the suspect approaching and began to drive off. The suspect fired several shots into the car. No one was injured and both robbers ran away.

According the Sheriff’s Office,The first suspect was described as a black male. He was wearing all black with a camouflage hood covering his face and head. The second suspect was described as a black male. He was wearing all dark clothing with a mask covering his face.

The second armed robbery happened around 5:20 Sunday evening at American Faves and Mo on Vineville Avenue in Macon. According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, two men entered the store and demanded money. Both men were waving handguns. They left with an disclosed amount of money after firing one shot. No one injured. The suspects were described as wearing masks over their faces.
