“With an office our size because you stay so busy everyday with everything else going on – you have to put it down and pick it up, put it down and pick it up as you can. As we all know in today’s time with paying taxes you’re glad to see that somebody that does it fraudulently has to answer for it,” said Mitchum.
The lead investigator, Lieutenant Robert Rodgers worked with Special Agent LaShaun Phillips of the Georgia Department of Revenue due to the weight of the case.
No additional arrests have been made at this time, however Sheriff Mitchum says there could be more once the investigation is finalized.
