Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office Confiscates 6.6 Pounds of Cocaine and 43 Pounds of Marijuana
3 people remain in jail after a routine traffic stop in Twiggs County. It turn out to be a major discovery of thousands of dollars worth of drugs.
According to the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office, deputies found 6.6 pounds of cocaine and 43 pounds of marijuana inside the car. Twiggs County Sheriff Darren Mitchum says the street value of the drugs is around $375,000.
Authorities say Jamal McGruder, Drashawn Johnson, and Joivanni Russel were pulled over because of a broken tail light on Thursday December 8th.
“When the deputy walked up to the car to interview the driver, he could actually smell the odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle,” said Sheriff Mitchum.
All three suspects are at the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Center.
