Twiggs County Duo Ready to Take the Next Step
JEFFERSONVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Two members of the Twiggs County football team will be headed out of state to play football next season.
Tight End and Defensive End Timmy Kemp, Jr. signed to play for Hutchinson Community College located in Kansas, while Safety and Linebacker Markevion Hooks is set to continue his career at Miles College in Mississippi.
The mother of Timmy Kemp is excited at the prospect of her son going off to college, but notes there can be one benefit of him not being at home, “Well, for one thing, I’ll be able to save on groceries because he eats like a horse, and he’s bigger than I am but this my baby, I’m going to miss him.”
Kemp says that he hopes to one day play in the NFL for either the Eagles, Raiders, or the Falcons and plans to major in business at Hutchinson.
Hooks says he has aspirations to major in criminal justice while in Mississippi.
