Tucker Elementary in Perry Celebrating World Recognition for Leadership Program

Tonight, the Tucker Tigers are celebrating. The Houston County elementary school is the first in the state of Georgia to achieve “Lighthouse” status.

This is the highest honor after completion of the “Leader in Me” program, aimed at leadership training through the use of Franklin Covey’s “7 Habits of Highly Effective People.”

“The level of leadership has steadily increased, and I think the kids feel empowered,” says teacher, Meredith Fletcher.
