Truck driver killed on Interstate 75

FORSYTH, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Claxton truck driver was killed Saturday on Interstate 75 in Monroe County.

46-year-old Willie Youman was driving south bound on the interstate near mile marker 185 when his truck left the roadway around noon.

The tractor trailer hit an embankment and Youman died at the scene, according to Monroe County Sheriff’s Office spokesperson Allison Selman-Willis.

Authorities believe the accident stemmed from a medical condition. No other injuries were reported. 

The crash remains under investigation.
