Tropical Storm Michael claims life of Georgia child

SEMINOLE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Tropical Storm Michael claims the life of a Georgia child. It happened early Thursday morning in Seminole County.

Authorities say an 11-year-old girl died when a mobile carport was picked up by the storm and crashed through the roof, hitting her in the head.

Responding crews had to dodge downed power lines and trees to reach the scene.
