Tri-County EMC warns customers of possible scam

GRAY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Representatives with Tri-County EMC say customers should be on the look out for possible scammers. 

Officials say someone in an unmarked, white pick up truck asked to read a customer’s meter. 

The individual asked several questions and then left without reading the meter. 

Tri-County says all employees are supposed to be in uniform, with a badge present, and driving marked vehicles.
