Trayvon Martin Controversy Draws Huge Gathering

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – More than a hundred people gathered at Greater Friendship Missionary Baptist Church tonight to honor the life of Florida native Trayvon Martin.

Martin’s death sparked national outcry after he was shot and killed by a neighborhood watch volunteer in late February.

“It hits home when you see our kids, it could have been anyone, anyone’s child regardless of color,” says Karen Richard, Macon resident.
