Travon Walker in Macon to sign autographs ahead of Football Camp
The Thomaston native was in Macon Friday evening to sign autographs with former and current UGA players

MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) -Upson-Lee graduate, National Champion, and first overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft Travon Walker was at the TownPlace Suites across from Mercer University Friday evening, along with current and former UGA players, to sign autographs for fans. The money for the autographs, $50 for two autographs from Walker and $25 for two autographs from any of the players, went to the Travon Walker Foundation to help mentor the youth in his communities.
This all preceded his second annual youth football camp taking place Saturday morning at Upson-Lee Middle School. When asked about what these kind of events, and his football camp, mean to him, Walker said “it wasn’t a hard decision, just for the simple fact that I always knew that I wanted to give back to my community if I ever had the chance to and just me being put in the position that I’m in, it made it a lot easier for me to go out and do the things for the community that I’ve done.”
Walker also went onto say “[I] just want to continue to help the community and surrounding counties grow around me, everybody around me. So going back home and seeing the kids running around that just makes me remember my ‘why’.”
