Transformer Explosion at Bonaire Power Substation Causes Fire

BONAIRE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A power substation transformer blew up near the corner of Sandy Run Road and Highway 247 in Bonaire Tuesday afternoon.

It blew up just after noon.

According to Chief Williams at the Houston County Fire Department, no one was hurt.

Georgia Power is on hand to investigate.
