Train And Car Collide In Warner Robins, No Serious Injuries
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A Warner Robins woman is recovering after investigators say her vehicle was hit by a train when she failed to stop while crossing the railroad tracks at Elberta Road and Highway 247.
Houston County Sheriff investigators say Norfolk Southern workers were repairing the crossing arms at the intersection when the female driver tried to go around the crossing arms that were down.
As she was maneuvering to get around the arms, her Toyota Corolla was struck by a Norfolk Southern train.
The woman was taken to Houston EMS with only minor injuries.
