Traffic stop leads to major drug bust in Twiggs County

According to Sheriff's Office, deputies attempted to stop Diamond Hamilton-Carter after clocking him driving over 100 mph.

TWIGGS COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Twiggs County deputies arrest a man after a traffic stop on Interstate 16 near mile marker 29.

According to Sheriff’s Office, deputies attempted to stop Diamond Hamilton-Carter after clocking him driving over 100 mph. They say he did not stop, and the chase reached up to 130 mph.

As deputies got into position to pit the vehicle, they say the driver pulled over.

During the stop, deputies found approximately half a kilo of Heroin/Fentanyl, several ounces of Marijuana, several grams of Ecstasy pills, and multiple amphetamine pills.

They also discovered a drone used for prison drops, and a handgun.
