Traffic Stop Ends with Three Macon Women Arrested
MONROE COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A traffic stop on Interstate 75 led to the arrest of three Macon women over the weekend.
Monroe County police arrested 23-year-old Nyreshia Smith, 20-year-old Parscha Clark and 18-year-old Kiana Cummings for multiple charges, including giving false names and theft.
According to a news release, deputies stopped a blue Grand Marquis around 3:00 p.m. after observing the vehicle had extremely dark window tint.
They discovered around $500 dollars of stolen merchandise in the floorboard of the vehicle.
Police say several of the women gave deputies false names and dates of birth.
After identified, all three women had current warrants out for their arrest in surrounding counties.
One passenger, who was not arrested, told deputies that the stolen items were taken from the Tanger Outlet or Wal-Mart in Locust Grove.
Police arrested Smith for giving false statements, identity frauds, criminal damage to property and passing fraudulent checks. Smith has warrants in Bibb, Dodge and Upson Counties.
Driver Parscha Clark was charged with driving on a suspended license and window tint violation. She also has a warrant for her arrest from Henry County.
Deputies charges Cummings with giving false statements. Also, she has a warrant in Bibb County.
The stolen merchandise was given to the Locust Grove Police Department.
All three women were taken to the Monroe County Sheriff’s Office.
