Tractor trailer carrying graded tires catches fire on I-75

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – All lanes of I-75 southbound in Macon are open after a tractor trailer caught fire Tuesday evening.

Lt. Sean DeFoe with the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office tells 41NBC the semi truck was carrying graded tires and it caught on fire. No injuries were reported.

The incident happened southbound on I-75 shortly after Exit 169.

One lane was blocked while the scene was cleared. All lanes of traffic are back open.
