Toxicology report: Wilkinson county female inmate died of natural causes

IVEY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – The toxicology report for a woman who died in Wilkinson County Jail revealed Cynthia Elaine Mixon, 51, died of natural causes.

Coroner Billy Matthews says Mixon had a hypertensive cardiovascular disease and was on medication.

Mixon eluded capture for nearly three days after a warrant was issued for her arrest following an Ocmulgee Drug Task Force undercover investigation.

Mixon was caught selling prescription drugs to under cover agents. She turned herself into authorities on January 27 and died on January 30.
