Two affordable homes completed in Macon-Bibb’s Tindall Fields development
The homes mark the first phase of a long-term effort to expand affordable homeownership.

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) — Two new affordable homes are now complete in Macon-Bibb County, marking the first phase of the Tindall Fields development aimed at expanding long-term housing options for local families.
The homes were built through the Macon-Bibb County Affordable Housing Fund in partnership with Investment Group Development and the Macon-Bibb County Land Bank Authority.
Mayor Lester Miller says the Tindall Fields project is designed to turn vacant and underused properties into a walkable, service-connected neighborhood that supports stability and homeownership.
“They’re not just houses — they’re going to be houses for somebody. Somebody in our community… where they can be safe, secure, and they can afford it. Those are great things to have in our community.”
County leaders say the two homes represent the first of many single-family houses planned through the Affordable Housing Fund, with additional construction expected as the project continues.
