Three people arrested after drugs, stolen IDs found in U-Haul in Twiggs County

The case remains under investigation, and more charges are possible, according to the sheriff’s office.

DANVILLE, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Three people were arrested early Monday after deputies found drugs and stolen identification documents in a parked U-Haul, according to the Twiggs County Sheriff’s Office.

The incident happened around 1 a.m. June 2 in the parking lot of the Danville Convenience Store.

A deputy spotted a U-Haul with someone “slumped” over inside, according to a news release. Deputies searched the vehicle and its occupants, finding crack cocaine, methamphetamine, fentanyl, multiple driver’s licenses, debit cards, and ID documents that did not belong to any of the three. Investigators say the IDs were altered and used for identity theft and financial fraud.

Brian Ginn, Cedric Conner, and Kelli Sancomb, all from the Savannah area, were arrested on multiple charges.

Deputies also recovered several stolen items tied to burglaries in the Savannah area.

The case remains under investigation, and more charges are possible, according to the sheriff’s office.
