Three men arrested after deputies intercept suspected prison drop in Washington County
A search of the vehicle uncovered 119 grams of methamphetamine, 1,156 grams of loose tobacco, 268 grams of marijuana, several cell phones, charging cables and cigar wraps.

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Three men are facing multiple charges after deputies discovered drugs, tobacco and contraband allegedly intended for delivery into Washington State Prison on Friday, according to a news release.
The Washington County Sheriff’s Office said just after midnight on October 3, a deputy stopped a vehicle in the Davisboro area for having no insurance and a suspended registration.
As deputies approached, they saw evidence suggesting a possible prison drop. The driver dropped what appeared to be crack cocaine while exiting the vehicle, according to the sheriff’s office.
A search of the vehicle uncovered 119 grams of methamphetamine, 1,156 grams of loose tobacco, 268 grams of marijuana, several cell phones, charging cables and cigar wraps. Investigators determined the items were intended for Washington State Prison.
Deputies arrested 47-year-old Lester Bradley III of Lithonia, 56-year-old Jarvis Smith of Lithonia, and 25-year-old Jamal B. Moffat of Riverdale.
Bradley is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, trafficking methamphetamine, trading with inmates tobacco, trading with inmates cellphones, trading with inmates methamphetamine, trading with inmates marijuana and possession of crack cocaine.
Smith is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, trafficking methamphetamine, trading with inmates tobacco, trading with inmates cellphones, trading with inmates methamphetamine, trading with inmates marijuana, possession of methamphetamine, possession of MDMA and giving a false name and writings, which is a felony.
Moffat is charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, trafficking methamphetamine, trading with inmates tobacco, trading with inmates cellphones, trading with inmates methamphetamine and trading with inmates marijuana.
The sheriff’s office said the investigation is ongoing.
