Three former Bibb deputies sentenced in federal corruption case
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Three former Bibb County Sheriff’s deputies were sentenced after they were arrested on federal corruption charges.
According to Michael Moore, the United States Attorney for the Middle District of Georgia, 44-year-old Sgt. Arthur Howard, 45-year-old Jimmy Lee Denson, and 38-year-old Decarlo Latimore were sentenced to three years probation for conversion of government property. They also have to surrender their Georgia Police Officer certification.
Howard, Denson, and Latimore were fired from the sheriff’s office in July 2014. They were caught stealing during an undercover federal operation.
Former Bibb deputy Jermaine Hill plead guilty to making false statements and stealing government money.
