Three former Bibb deputies facing federal corruption charges to appear in court
MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Three former Bibb County sheriff’s deputies facing federal corruption charges will be in court next week.
According to the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Middle District of Georgia, Decarlo Latimore, Jimmy Denson, and Arthur Howard are schedule to appear before Judge Marc Thomas Treadwell on January 14.
In July 2014, U.S. Attorney Michael Moore announced Denson, Howard, Latimore were all charged with attempted extortion.
Jermaine Hill was also arrested. He was charged with theft of government money and making false statements. He pleaded guilty.
According to our past reports, court documents described the “rip-off” operation that lead to the arrests.
The hearing is scheduled for 9 a.m.
