Crash begins with collision between tractor-trailer and Hyundai Sonata
According to the Georgia State Patrol, the incident began when a tractor-trailer collided with a Hyundai Sonata in the northbound lanes of I-75 in Gordon County. The impact caused the tractor-trailer to cross the median and enter the southbound lanes, where it collided with two other 18-wheelers, a Toyota Corolla, and a Ford Ranger.
Ford Ranger catches fire after crash
The Ford Ranger caught fire after the collision. Emergency responders rushed to the scene, and a total of six vehicles were involved in the crash. Authorities say the cause of the initial crash in the northbound lanes is still under investigation.
