Three arrested after burglary at Gear and Axle
One suspect was found under a house

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – Deputies have arrested three suspects after a burglary at local business Gear and Axle.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, the burglary happened around 6 p.m. on Monday on 5156 Houston Road. A witness reported seeing three men loading items from Gear and Axle into a vehicle after closing time.
Tuesday at around 4 p.m., the sheriff’s office says they received another tip. A caller told law enforcement they spotted the suspects with an additional car on Broadway.
When deputies arrived, the suspects were gone and the additional car was left behind. In a press release, the Bibb County Sheriff’s office says that car was stolen.
From there, Gang Unit Investigators tracked down the suspects. Deputies arrested 53-year-old Joseph Edward McCranie, 34-year-old Joshua Adam Mobley, and 56-year-old Jonathan Monroe Wiley. All three were found at a home in the 1600 block of Walker Road. The sheriff’s office adds that two suspects were in the home while the third was discovered hiding under the house.
According to the Bibb County Sheriff’s Office, all three men face charges without bond.
