Third Annual BIBBSPYS Award Ceremony
The third annual event celebrated Bibb County's student-athletes successes both in and out of the classroom
MACON, Georgia – (41NBC/WMGT) – On Monday night at Northeast High School’s Auditorium, hundreds packed the room to watch the third annual BIBBSPYS award ceremony.
This award ceremony celebrated the best of the best student-athletes in Bibb County. It’s the third event, started by Bibb County Athletic Director Richard Grooms back in 2023.
There were 30 category-award winners throughout the 90-minute spectacle. Here is a list of winners from the night:
Offensive Football Player of the Year: Reginald ‘Bam’ Glover – Northeast
Defensive Football Player of the Year: Rinaldo Callaway – Southwest
Girls Basketball Player of the Year: Frances Anyakudo – Central
Boys Basketball Player of the Year: Chase Dupree – Southwest (Won Offensive Football Player of the Year in 2024)
Girls Athlete of the Year: Kaila Lucas – Westside
Boys Athlete of the Year: Nick Woodford – Northeast
Female Head Coach of the Year: Dr. Candice Roberson – Westside
Male Head Coach of the Year: Jeremy Wiggins Sr. – Northeast
Athletic Director of the Year: Joseph Dupree Jr. – Southwest
Cheerleader of the Year: Taylor Reeves, Howard
Flag Football Player of the Year: Taylor Talton, Westside
Cross Country Runner of the Year (Girls): Hayley Terry, Northeast
Cross Country Runner of the Year(Boys): Tyler Howard, Rutland
Softball Player of the Year: Brianna Pryor, Central
Volleyball Player of the Year: Titiana Johnson, Westside
Wrestler of the Year (Girls): tZipporah Bullock, Central
