Thieves are breaking into cars across Houston County
WARNER ROBINS, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – A string of car break ins have some residents on the lookout for the suspects. Investigators say there have been more than 60 incidents since January 1.
According to reports, thieves are breaking into cars between 10:00 at night and 5:00 the next morning, and they’re taking mostly electronic equipment.
“Suspects typically will either get dropped out of a vehicle, or they will park their vehicle and walk, they’ll go door to door in a residential area and they’ll just walk up and either look into the vehicle or just walk up and pull every door handle that they come to,” explains Capt. Jon Holland.
We’re told suspects are targeting cars in all areas, including upscale neighborhoods, middle class homes and apartments.
Deputies advise everyone to make sure their car doors are locked and valuables are out of sight. They also encourage residents to report suspicious people walking in their neighborhood.
