Thelma Dillard Wins Bibb Board of Education, District 2 Seat

MACON, Georgia (41NBC/WMGT) – In the Bibb County School Board District 2 race, Thelma Dillard has beat out Angel Davis-Hopper and Alan P. Taylor for the seat.

Dillard got a staggering 70% of the votes, Davis-Hopper got 17%, and Taylor rounded out the trio with 13%.

We spoke with Ms. Dillard earlier tonight.  She says this win is all about the kids of Bibb County.

“This is a win for the children of Bibb County,” says Dillard.  “I will be working with them to help them–to improve the quality of education.  I spent my lifetime working to improve education and I’m ready now to make it better (by) working with our board of education and taking on the challenges that we have here in our school system.”
